MID WINTER CHRISTMAS
When the weather turns cold those of us with ancestral roots
in the Northern Hemisphere decide to celebrate Christmas
in a more traditional way, that is, shivering through the festivities!
In the midst of winter, the Society holds a Christmas
Celebration in the Scottish way.
We have a delicious hot serving of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties
and wash it all down with a dram or two of Whisky!!
Gifts come by way of a raffle, with some amazing prizes to be had.
The jolly man in his bright red suit also pays us a visit to give
all the children a gift to take home!
There is dancing to help keep you warm, and entertainment
to warm the cockles of your heart.
Entertainment includes the Mount Barker Caledonian Society
Pipes and Drums, the Scott’s School of Highland Dance
and an amazing dance band.
Remember to bring your own supper, drinks and glasses!
